Massive basalt rock columns were formed here during some volcanic magma flow in the distant past.

The basalt rock forms a small cave, which is a good place to wait 5 minutes for the rain to pass.

The sun comes back out a few minutes later. Just like the beach at Vik, parts are fine and sandy, others are made of small round pebbles -- and it changes depending on where you walk.
